Sri Lanka! My shopping paradise!
I really like Sri Lanka because of its warm weather and nice beaches. But like most of the ladies I like it the most for shopping.
While in Colombo I only learnt two places very well!!! ODEL and House of Fashion. The first one, Odell is a big store which sells perfumes, beauty items, cloths, shoes and jewellery the later is much the same but the only difference is that the prices in Odell and House of Fashion are totally different. I could not take my eyes from the nice and high quality items in Odell but they were so expensive so in the end I just could buy a T- shirt and a shopping bag.
But going to House of fashion was like going to paradise. I almost filled a big shopping bag (about 1 meter long) with bags, skirts, shirts and t-shirts and you know how much all those cost me? Less than 70 USD! Wonderful. Most of them are brands such as Adidas and Nike made in Sri Lanka.
Unfortunately there has been some bomb blast since last 3 years which was a threat to tourist business in Sri Lanka but for me, any time I will get another chance I will go there again not only for shopping but also for the beautiful nature, the floating forests and nice beaches, warm sun and delicious food.
I also enjoyed lively casinos and discos there though I am not a big fan of either! I loved the seafood at cinnamon Hotel and the beautiful greenery of Eden garden resort.
